THIS IS OUR CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

On July 29, 2023 (Saturday) - mark your calendars! - we will open and host “This is Our Children’s Museum”, a major exhibition featuring three shows at the Vargas Museum in the University of the Philippines.

For the first show, we will present and launch our latest children’s book, “Ang Pusang Kartero”, a winning story from our Romeo Forbes Children’s Story Writing Competition written by Genaro Gojo Cruz. Artworks for the book by rising and now collector-favorite artist, Mark Jeffrey “Mr. S” Santos will be on display.

On the West Wing, we will present new works by some of the very best contemporary artists around who, like all of you, are supporting CANVAS’ ongoing efforts to build the Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art. Collectively now referred to as our “Bukal Sining Artists”, they have committed to participate in our annual fundraising shows for at least three years, and they include:

Finally, we will devote a section of the Museum to presenting updates on the ongoing construction of the Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art. This presentation will be threaded together by our Museum Manifesto, “This Is Our Children’s Museum” which lays out a vision for what Tumba-Tumba will be all about. You can get a glimpse of the manifesto, together with artworks by June Digan that help to bring them to colorful life, by clicking here.

“This is Our Children’s Museum” will run from July 29 to September 2, 2023 at the Vargas Museum. See you there!
